Director of Sales, Data Analytics

About this role

We have recently announced the launch of Gridwise Analytics (GWA) and have multiple customers incorporating GWA into their operational decision-making.

As the Director of Sales for Gridwise Analytics, you will have the opportunity to lead the charge in growing the analytics platform from its infancy to a multi-million dollar business within a short period of time.

You will be engaging with prospects from a multitude of verticals to convert them into customers and work closely with the product team to help achieve product-market fit.  

As a core member of the Gridwise Analytics team at Gridwise, you will:

  • Lead sales for Gridwise Analytics to scale it to a multi-million dollar business.  
  • Source new prospects through network connections and outbound campaigns
  • Negotiate and close new Gridwise Analytics customers across a multitude of verticals such as Financial Services, Mobility Services, Real Estate, Retail, Municipalities, and more. 
  • Manage existing accounts and increase account contract value by identifying upsell opportunities 
  • Gather prospect and customer feedback and collaborate with our product team to help us reach product-market-fit. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop B2B outbound and inbound campaigns
  • Effectively manage the pipeline through our CRM system
  • Develop scalable sales processes 

Desirable Experience/Skills/Traits:

  • 5+ years of software or data/analytics sales experience
  • Proven ability to close deals in a business within a new market that is not well defined 
  • Technically proficient in understanding software and analytics products 
  • Proven ability to identify a prospect’s needs and position our product to fill the prospects gaps 
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach to your work
  • Outstanding presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Organized in managing the CRM, documentation, prospect notes, etc 

Exceptional Candidates may have prior experience with:

  • Building a sales organization from the ground up
  • Selling into mobility/transportation/automotive or financial services 
  • Working within an early stage company at the Series A stage or earlier 

This position is a full-time remote position.
